Comments
When users leave comments on our site, we collect the information provided in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist with spam detection.

An anonymized string derived from your email address (known as a hash) may be sent to the Binzay service to check if you are using it. You can review the Binzay service privacy policy here: https://binzay.com/privacy/.

Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible publicly alongside your comment.

Media
If you upload images to our website, please avoid including images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Other visitors can download and extract any location information from images available on the site.

Cookies
If you comment on our site, you may opt to save your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience, so you won't need to re-enter your details on future comments. These cookies will remain for one year.

When you visit our login page, we will create a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal information and is deleted when you close your browser.

Upon logging in, several cookies will be established to store your login details and screen preferences. Login cookies last for two days, while screen option cookies persist for a year. If you choose “Remember Me,” your login will last for two weeks. Logging out will remove the login cookies.

If you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser, containing no personal data and simply indicating the ID of the article you edited. This expires after one day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles on our site may feature embedded content (such as videos, images, and articles). This content behaves as if you have directly visited the other website.

These external sites may collect your data, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interactions with their content, particularly if you have an account and are logged in.

Who We Share Your Data With
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How Long We Retain Your Data
Comments and their metadata are stored indefinitely, allowing us to automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments without needing moderation.

For users who register on our site, we retain the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal data at any time (excluding username changes). Website administrators can also access and modify this information.

Your Rights Over Your Data
If you have an account or have left comments, you may request an exported file of your personal data that we hold, including any data you've provided. You can also ask us to erase any personal data we hold about you, though this does not apply to information we need to retain for administrative, legal, or security reasons.

Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
